What Is A Jinx?

A jinx is an unwanted oftentimes malicious spirit that has an unusual amount of access to a person. Someone that has been jinxed will generally struggle with sleep, money, health issues, poltergeist activity, and a plethora of other issues. Generally, it will only be one or two issues at a time, but if one problem seems to “clear up” another issue will immediately arise. It becomes of cycle of misfortune that causes a great deal of distress for the victim, and it always changes if they adapt themselves to the current misfortunes.

Someone can become jinxed through a ceremony performed incorrectly. A common sign that something is amiss during ceremony will be a sudden chill, anxiety, or goosebumps. Failure to close a ceremony where a spirit had been summoned can leave a door open for a potentially malicious spirit to enter into the aura. It may lie dormant for a period of time before the aforementioned symptoms begin to manifest.

A jinx can be “hereditary”, something that is not quite an ancestor but exists within a family line. These are generally what is considered to be a family curse. It may affect one or multiple family members at a time. Family lines with lots of suicides and bad deaths may be an indication of a jinx. The spirit may or may not be a true relation, however, it will generally act out of malice and insight problems between living relatives. To attempt to drive of such a spirit may get it out of an individual’s life but oftentimes at the expense of the wellbeing of a relative.

Finally, a jinx may come through a child experiencing severe trauma. When a child is being repeatedly traumatized ancestors and guardians may step in so as to shield the mind of the child from further trauma. This does sometimes leave a “door open” in the aura of the child and a perverse spirit may begin to form a bond. Sometimes the spirit was perverted by the trauma itself, each case is different and unique.

The long term effects of a jinx can cultivate behaviors in someone that are both risky and unhealthy. Maladaptive coping methods can create an addiction of the victim to the jinx. More often than not, victims will abandon the process of the removal because they will believe they are losing a part of themselves. This can result in their problems getting worse as the spirit seeks to punish them. Sometimes the spirit can be removed and driven off, but there are certain circumstances where it’s better to put the spirit on a leash and train it to behave in a productive manner. Again each case is unique and requires a professional that has experience in the phenomenon.
